Eco-Friendly Apartment Conversion / Renovation

This custom built Chelsea family residence at 66 Ninth Street combined two units into one eco-friendly duplex. The M. Daddio team worked with a consultant to create a truly ZERO VOC environment ensuring an asthmatic child’s safety and health. Going steps further, a multi-filtered water filtration system and custom panels to reduce electromagnetic fields block additional environmental contaminants. Custom built-ins, storage and work areas can be found throughout the clean, modern home. Bespoke book matched walnut vanities created in the M. Daddio in-house millwork shop anchor the baths. Combining two units has its own unique challenges. Installing the new custom hot rolled steel and walnut stair linking the formerly separate units required structural slab penetration.
